BoulderPilot's Activity

I have not met Wil,yet, and I have heard about his attitude, cockyness. What I do know about Wil and his Dad is that when I was reaching out to the jumping community, trying to build a jump/skills park,Wil and his Dad both offered to help in any way possible. When I explained the park would be for beginner-intermediate-advanced riders, both Wil & his Dad acknowledged that this is what is needed to help our sport progress.A 14 year-old that goes as huge as Wil does, willing to help build 2' tabletops so others may learn, shows me a level of maturity and true devotion to our sport that is lacking in many riders much older than he. I have met Wil's Dad,and I could sense the pride he has for his son. When many youth are getting into drugs and pulling away from parents, here's a family brought together by riding. The fact Wil has acknowledged,in this thread,of his past cockyness and the fact he maintained composure while his character, and his Dad's, were attacked, tells me this young man will probably be able to do anything he sets his mind to.He's no doubt stepped on some toes;I can't wait to see how he kicks our sports ass. Wil, I'll be calling on you and your Dad when I get a site to build,I have not given up.Looking forward to working with you and your Dad.

Hey, I'm not used to the new profile thing, so I understand your skepticism. If you're interested in helping to make something happen, I'll keep you posted. If not, no worries.

Hey bro, You know Rush, "NewbiWanKenobi", right? I've seen you over at mtbr and DT. My name is Jason. I'm just trying to help get an authorized site so we can practice our sport without the threat of lawsuits or punks destroying our work. I do appreciate you letting other riders know that I'm for real. If you guys are going to session a place, let me know and I'll shoot you guys and we can talk. Oh, congrats on your new Eastern. Jason

Hey I know of a spot in scripps ranch that is between two houses, and it's a little bit bigger than a lot for a house. Not being used, just 3 trees in a open lot. It looks like such a good spot to build jumps(multiple lines). I want a legitimate jumpin spot in SD so freaking bad. I have been through local douches and jumps just get wrecked and trash left all over. If there was a place where we could keep hoodlums out, keep the riders involved with designing and building, even have a small fee to similar to a skatepark

How do we go about getting permission to build places? Do we just talk to the rangers or do we have to go through the city?

Sweet! I like it! I'm just an old guy chasing his youth that loves to ride bikes. I'm down to do whatever I can to dedicate a spot for the sport. There are a few spots that allow building but then you have to worry about idiots getting but hurt and trashing it. I don't know the who is who in bikes. I do know that black market has hot the dj design down to a science, that is why I ride their bike. I was a little skeptical when a no name no face blank profile tags on to our sd riders forum because we drop the name of a few spots that are still going that's all.
